Cultural manager, producer, co-producer and coordinator of many international cultural and TV projects. Graduated of the Krakow University of Economics (Administration and Marketing programme, majoring in Business Administration). Studied Journalism and Media Communication at the Institute of Journalism, Media and Social Communication of the Jagiellonian University, as well as European Studies at the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow. She was a member of the jury of the prestigious EFFIE Awards competition, holds a seat on the Expert Council THINKTANK and lectures at the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University.
Since January 1, 2011, she has been the Director of the Krakow Festival Office. Earlier, she served as Deputy Director for Marketing at the KBF, as well as the City of Krakow Promotion Department Director and head of the press office of the Mayor of the City of Krakow.
As the director of the Krakow Festival Office, she participates in decision-making about the form and is responsible for the organisation, production and brand of prestigious Krakow cultural events, such as Misteria Paschalia, Sacrum Profanum, Opera Rara, the Krakow Film Music Festival, the Miłosz Festival, the Conrad Festival and many others.
Izabela Helbin pays particular attention to complementing the KBF events with a wide offer for children, seniors and disenfranchised groups, as well as institutional cooperation with both city organisations and private companies and NGOs.
